A New CD: "An Echo from Willowwood" and other compositions by Ethan McGrath

Over the past year or so I have been putting some serious thought into making the first CD album of my compositions, and I have finally started to make significant steps in that direction. It will be a recording of my music for solo voices and piano. Soprano Sarah Tullock and tenor Justin Hipp are helping me out with it; I have worked with them both before in performances of my music, and I know they will bring a high level of artistry to the recording.

I have put the project on Kickstarter to try and raise funds for its completion. In case you don't know, Kickstarter is a platform that people use to raise funds for their creative projects, and other people can pledge funds toward those creative projects. It's up to the project creator to set the amount of money needed for the project. If that amount is not raised by the deadline, the project does not receive any funds, and backers cards are not charged. So it is a relatively risk-free way to try and support creativity.

To learn more about my CD project, or to pledge funds to it, visit it's Kickstarter page: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/516679566/an-echo-from-willowwood-and-other-compositions

The deadline to pledge funds to the project is October 10. Note that there are several rewards available for contributions of various sizes -- everything from a copy of the finished CD, to a composition written just for you, to a private concert in the Chattanooga area.
